About Schaumschläger

If you’re wandering around Berlin and craving a spot that feels effortlessly cool yet totally welcoming, let me introduce you to Schaumschläger, a café-style restaurant tucked away at Hobrechtstraße 11, 12047 Berlin, Germany, and honestly, it’s one of those places you instantly want to come back to. From the moment you step in, there’s a relaxed, neighborhood energy that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a local secret rather than a tourist stop, and that’s exactly what makes Schaumschläger stand out. The vibe is casual and warm, perfect for slow mornings with coffee or laid-back afternoons when you just want to unwind and watch the city move. What I really love is how flexible it is, because whether you feel like grabbing a quick bite on the go, sitting down for a cozy meal, or enjoying outdoor seating on a sunny day, Schaumschläger fits the mood without trying too hard. The menu is built for variety, so you’ll find comforting coffee alongside healthy options, small plates, and vegetarian choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. At the same time, if you’re in the mood for something a little stronger, there’s alcohol available, which makes it just as great for evening hangouts as it is for daytime breaks. Plus, with takeaway, dine-in, and delivery options, it’s easy to enjoy Schaumschläger wherever you are, which is a big win when your schedule is packed. The atmosphere feels creative yet grounded, drawing in people who appreciate simple food done well and a space that doesn’t rush you out the door. Every detail, from the relaxed café setting to the approachable offerings, feels designed to make your day smoother and more enjoyable. So if you’re looking for a place in Berlin that blends comfort, flavor, and personality into one easygoing experience, Schaumschläger is the kind of spot that naturally becomes part of your routine, where each visit feels familiar but never boring, and where the energy stays light, fresh, and inviting no matter when you stop by.

Cute cafe with a nice atmosphere. We had the cheese breakfast and the tomato mozzarella scrambled eggs. Both portions were delicious and very filling. Service was very nice with affordable prices.

This place is a hidden gem in crowded and loud street on Sonnenallee. Just few meters turn on Sonnenallee, you enter in the cafe and you feel so relaxed. The ambience is so pleasant, very friendly service, great yummy cakes. So far that was one of the best carrot cake I ever ate. They do have homemade drinks/ lemonade and good coffee. It was such a great experience visiting there.

It's a wonderful and very cozy place. The atmosphere is very good and the staff was so friendly. Loved it! They have a great variety of cakes and cookies - I recommend the apple cake, and the carrots.. also there coffee is great. They are a bit pricey, but still, it's worth it.
